"This company is important for the region and underlines the significance of Central Hesse as an important business location," emphasized District President Dr. Christoph Ullrich during his visit to the Group headquarters and the Industrial Vacuum Systems division in Wettenberg. He said that his role was also to draw attention to the world market leaders and hidden champions in the region and thus to anchor the image of Central Hesse among the population as a region that is not only worth living in, but above all innovative and attractive to skilled workers.
The CEO of the group, Manfred Bender, and the managing director of PVA Industrial Vacuum Systems, Dr. Udo Broich, gave the president of the Giessen district a tour of the plant and explained the company's history. "All major carbide manufacturers have systems from our company. In the field of industrial brazing systems, PVA TePla is the world market leader," explained Mr. Broich during the tour of the assembly halls. Manfred Bender added that the production of silicon crystals for semiconductor production is an important driver for the company's development and that they supply major chip producers as customers. "Thus, the products 'Made in Mittelhessen' form the basis for digitalization processes, IoT (Internet of Things) as well as the expansion of electromobility and photovoltaics." The changing global political situation is having an impact on the company. For example, a semiconductor market is being established in Europe, and PVA TePla is participating in its development. The energy turnaround, especially the expansion of photovoltaics and the greater use of hydrogen as an energy carrier, has also been very beneficial to the company's development. According to Bender, the company's expectations for the past year were far exceeded and production is running at full capacity until 2025. PVA TePla is on course for expansion and expects a significant increase in sales in the coming years.
