Independent vessel manufacturing company brings greater flexibility in production and increased growth opportunities

As part of measures to optimize its supply chains, the PVA TePla Group acquired the activities of a renowned, globally recognized Italian vessel manufacturer as of November 1, 2019. The subsidiary PVA Italy, recently founded in Italy, can thus begin independent vessel production immediately.

Double-walled vessels, particularly stainless steel vessels, are the central component for vacuum and high-temperature systems as well as for many crystal-growing systems. In terms of production technology, they must meet the highest quality and safety standards. Top-quality vessels are particularly important for the outstanding reputation that PVA TePla’s process systems enjoy among their customers worldwide. Due to growing customer demand for vacuum systems over several quarters, the PVA TePla Group is supplementing the existing supplier pool with its own production.

Oliver Höfer, the Management Board member responsible for technology and production at PVA TePla AG, emphasizes the importance of the acquisition: “We have a responsibility to our customers – which are generally large, renowned companies on their markets – to ensure that delivery dates are always met with correspondingly high quality. PVA Italy represents an excellent addition to the PVA TePla Group’s vertical integration in a key area. In addition to our existing and established suppliers, we will also procure vessels for the construction of vacuum and crystal growing systems from our Italian subsidiary in future. This will make a key contribution to increasing our capacity to deliver our systems.”
