(Aßlar, November 30, 2006) – The Crystal Growing division of PVA TePla AG,
Aßlar, has received on November 30 an order for the delivery of crystal
growing systems worth around EUR 60 million from the Singapore-based
Siltronic Samsung Wafer Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Siltronic AG,
Germany, and Samsung Electronic Corp., Ltd, Korea.
The EKZ 3000/450 systems will be delivered to the joint venture for the
first set-up stage in the course of 2007 and 2008. Both companies had
previously entered into advance negotiations to order crystal growing
systems in a letter of intent. Information on this was provided in an ad
hoc report dated July 24, 2006.
The order was included in the company planning announced on the previous
day.
